Effective F&B Delivery
A winning combination of personality, puns and street food.
At Priory Meadow in Hastings, we were tasked with filling gaps in the tenant mix and adding variety to a community scheme with limited food choice.
The external site is the primary events space but was rarely used for commercial activations or retail. We proactively sourced a street food trader that could add personality to the space and encourage customer engagement.
We worked with husband and wife, Ian and Carey, to open their first catering business selling quesadillas. To encourage repeat visits, they developed a loyalty card scheme and ‘wall of fame’ across the back of their trailer, featuring photos of their customers. They offer daily and seasonal specials to adapt to customer demand.
Southside Wrappers were the first food trader to trial the external space, but over the summer months in 2019, we managed to secure 4 additional F&B traders as a result.
‘It’s all about personality and engaging with customers. We have got to the stage where people come over and know us’.
